Students chose an artist to learn more about. Look at a variety of their works before you choose one to replicate. Next week Mr Everson will be in to talk about how to do the drawing part. The following week he'll come talk about using/mixing color. If you still don't have an artist, here's a list of the ones who are left.

We finished the general Impressionism presentation and then students had a chance to look through books or online to explore the art a bit more. Each student will be researching an artist. Try to find a few different artists that interest you. See the list on the pdf of the presentation.

We took the quiz and are now embarking on a wholly new adventure. We will be doing a longer project centered on the Impressionist movement in painting. Students will be researching an artist, writing in French, giving a presentation in French and also painting a reproduction of one of their artist's works. Details and a daily schedule to follow.

We spent a little time examining the lyrics to Dommage and then started watching the "Si j'avais vécu..." presentations. We will finish up with them on Tuesday, have a little more practice with "si clauses" then get ready for a quiz on Wednesday.

We added a couple of pages to the cahier to practice two new compound verb forms, le plus-que-parfait and le passé du conditionnel. We are mostly using these forms in "si" clauses. A homework assignment will help you practice all the "si" clause formations.

We finished "Si j'avais un marteau" then students each wrote 10 "what would you do if..." questions. For example: Qu'est-ce que tu ferais si... tu voyais un éléphant à l'école? They then exchanged papers and will answer the questions for homework.

Remember to complete your Conjuguemos challenge by 11:59 tonight!!! We practiced the conditionnel (Click here for access to read and do the self-test at the very bottom of the page.) and then filled in the missing words of the song, "Si j'avais un marteau" by Claude Francois.

Mardi, 27 février
Students conducted interviews with their partner and then wrote a paragraph about them using the future tense. After correcting the paragraphs, students started working on a poster about the person they interviewed.
Lundi, 26 février
Students shared their "L'école du future" slides, then we started working on questions to ask a partner about their life "dans 10 ans".
Vendredi, 23 février
Today students created the dialogue for a wordless comic using the future tense as much as possible. Each student wrote at least 10 sentences on paper and numbered them to correspond to the numbers on the comic strip. There was also a homework assignment on the future tense.

Students finished the "L'école du futur" project and dropped the Keynote in the Dropbox. Presentations will happen on Thursday.

In small groups students are imagining "l'école du futur". Each group is making a 5 slide Keynote presentation comparing school today with school in the future. We are all using the same Keynote template to make the task as streamlined as possible. If you were absent, you could just write 5 pairs of sentences comparing schools today with those of the future. Make sure to use the future tense in your second sentence. (Aujourd'hui nous devons être présents en classe. Dans l'avenir nous pourrons y envoyer un hologramme à notre place.)
